Overview
A registered CSE product can be moved from one tenant to another. How you do it depends on where the product is going:
| Destination | How to transfer |
|---|---|
| A different tenant in the same organization | Self-service. See Transfer to another tenant in your organization. |
| A tenant in a different organization | Contact SonicWall Support. See Transfer to another organization. |
For how accounts, organizations, tenants, and products relate to one another, see How Unified Management Is Organized.
Important: A tenant can hold only one CSE product, so the destination tenant must not already hold one. If it does, choose a different tenant.
Transfer to another tenant in your organization
Moving a CSE product between tenants that belong to the same organization is self-service. In MySonicWall:
- Navigate to My Workspace > Products.
- Start the transfer in either of two ways:
- In the Actions column for the CSE product, select the More Actions icon, and then select Transfer Products.
- Select the CSE product in the Products table, and then select Transfer Products above the table.
- Enter or select the destination tenant from the list of tenants.
- Select Transfer.
In Unified Management, you may need to change scope to the destination tenant before the product appears in its inventory.
Transfer to another organization
Moving a CSE product to a different organization is not self-service. The Transfer Products dialog includes an Another Organization option, but for a CSE product, contact SonicWall Support instead.
Have the following ready when you contact Support:
- The serial number of the CSE product.
- The destination organization, identified by its Organization ID or by the email address of an account in that organization. A member of the destination organization can find the Organization ID in its organization settings. See Organization Settings in the Unified Management Getting Started Guide, or Organizational Settings in the MySonicWall User Guide.
- The name of the destination tenant in that organization, or confirmation that a new tenant in that organization is acceptable.
